This is an excellent jacket for the cold / windy winter weather. Wish I bought this before my last elk hunt in Northern CO. I read a review that said: "Don't be a dummy and where this when it is 40 deg to look cool, it is way to warm for that." I totally agree, this is your cold nasty weather jacket. I don't mind the high pockets. I love the sleeve pockets and the pit zips. Exactly what I was looking for. As with most Eberlestock items, size up. I bought an extra large (the only item I have that is XL and it fits well, and has enough room to add a large fleece and a shirt under it. Looking forward to my next elk hunt as well as my next winter training event in the mountains.

Your MOUNTAIN camouflage is super awesome. I'm not a professional, but it looks awesome. When I look at the camouflage, I have a visual illusion of far and near. I ride bicycles to and from work. Taipei, Taiwan has a subtropical climate with high humidity. The summers are hot and humid and the winters are cold and humid. This may be the best coat I've ever owned. It's incredibly light, comfortable and warm. It looks great, feels great and the quality is impeccable. I am 5'9 and 205 and ordered the XL. Fits like a dream. If you're on the fence just buy this coat. You will love it.

Bought the coat for my husband. He usually wears an XL. Bought the XXL to be safe. Coat zipped up fine but short sleeves and hit him at the top of his jeans. Quality was great. But just to small.

I haven鈥檛 worn it really. Just one trip to the store so it鈥檚 hard to give a review with much detail. Fits good but with the extra winter weight I鈥檓 carrying I don鈥檛 think I鈥檒l have room for under layers. I really like the look of this jacket and the material.

This is a great parka my only complaint is that it runs a bit small if you plan to layer for extreme cold. Having said that it鈥檚 pretty well thought out.
